Re: Emulsion on inside of roof

We have veltrimed our roof with no problems. Haven't noticed any weight difference & the high heat adhesive is good up to 120C! Should be ok in our British summers!
The roof shuts down as well as it always did.
No condensation & really cosy.

Re: Veltrim?

We have done ours in Veltrim. Wheat colour. It was fairly easy to do. It stretches & can be hammered (gently) into corners. It stops any condensation & is really cosy! It was our first attempt & came out pretty well we think. It is definitely a two, if not three person job though. You will need at l...

Re: It's almost finished!

Back to Leaky Portafold! Our first trip out towing with our VW Splitty was a trip to West Wales. The weather forecast hadn't been great but we decided to to go for it anyway! This is us packed & ready to go (raining already!) 003-1.jpg It towed like a dream, we hardly knew it was there & didn't appe...

It's almost finished!

Well, having seen a portafold at Blenheim Palace car show last August bank holiday & instantly loving it we set about trying to find one. Months later we won our Portafold "Leaky" (more on that later! ) & set off to deepest darkest Wales to pick it up. This is how it looked when we got it hom...

Re: Insurance

:D Warning taken!!
We have a small trailer we could tow, I'll leave the Portafold to the bigger van.

We're off on our first trip next week, very exciting & a little bit worried. Haven't used my splitty to tow the Portafold yet. Might be the slowest trip we've ever had!

Re: Insurance

I joined the camping & caravan club who do insurance. Paid £45 per year for an agreed value of 2k.

Big bird, have you got a tow bar on your Smart car? I'm tempted to tow the Portafold with mine!
