This is Mrs Pepperpot, and if anyone has read the children's book series of the same name, you'll know why.

As with everything I sell it has been listed on eBay to give everyone a fair shout at buying it: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142752751708

If you don't have an eBay account but are interested in buying it, call me and I'll sort something out.

It is a very genuine 2 owner from new (3 including me) Portafold folding caravan. The first owner had it from new for two years 1971-1973, then it was bought by the Partridge family of Oxford and used as their family caravan for many years until just last year. As it was stored on their patio for many years I've had it professionally valeted outside to remove the green algae from the roof and to bring back the shine in the gellcoat. I've quickly cleaned the inside but it now requires the new owner to clean, polish and give it the TLC it needs to bring it back to its former glory. It also has the sought-after original light blue quilting on the upper half of the walls.

The chassis has been fully serviced, has three new 8-ply trailer tyres and I've had a few repairs made to the roof. I've already replaced the door hinge pins, fitted new leather straps and checked all the lights and replaced the towing plug. After years being up in a garden it only had one frozen hinge which has been drilled, lubricated and re-riveted back in place. It has a couple of period camping accessories, old seats, thunderbucket, etc.

It tows beautifully and is ready to be towed home by its new owner to start the new chapter of its life.

There is also 'The Diary of Mrs Pepperpot' written from the viewpoint of the caravan by the late Mr Partridge, from the day the caravan was first seen at the caravan dealership in Oxford in 1973. It's a great read, it's very nostalgic and charts all the holidays and trips the family and Mrs Pepperpot enjoyed together. I have a photocopy of the first few pages and the rest should be available via contact with the Partridge family once the caravan has been purchased.

I can offer free delivery to certain areas of the UK (including the M3, A34 corridor or south Hertfordshire), especially if I'm travelling in that direction for work. But this would require viewing and payment in advance.

Viewing is highly recommended. Even more so if you've never seen a Portafold or never put one up. I will not entertain someone winning the auction only to realise they can't lift the roof without assistance.

Any questions just give me a call on 07771544419.

So, to conclude, no 'Buy It Now', no reserve, 99p start auction, the listing will NOT be ended early without someone turning up and thrusting £5000 in cash into my hand. Otherwise, it's an auction, come and look it over, then place a bid.

Winning bidder to collect with cash within 7 days of the auction ending.

As I've already said, delivery could be arranged depending on where you are. But you must have viewed it first.
