As many of you might have found, because of the sloping floor near the door, the carpet slides gradually away from the door. My original piece of threadbare carpet has the two popper studs fixed to it so you can fix it to the floor mounted studs. (Just visible in the photo)
I've fixed mine another way by just using carpet tape. Most of you have probably already done this... Also though, by using rubber backed underlay I have sorted out the ribbed floor problem which makes for an uncomfortable time when standing in bare feet. Being rubber backed this also gives the carpet some grip against the GRP floor.
First I cut the rubber nobbled underlay into strips that fit exactly into the grooves in the floor:
Then I covered the back of each one with double sided carpet tape:
Then peel off the backing layer from the tape:
I added some cross braces of tape to add extra 'anti slide':
Then carefully roll the carpet back into place:
