My Portafold

Post by harrys engines » Fri, 18 Jun 2010, 11:03 am

Hi there, the other day i got given a Portafold that has sat outside in a farmyard for 20 years, it needs new wheels and tyres but the bearings are ok, on the outside it is green and covered in algae etc...and i thought id try putting it up and had it done in 3 minutes!!!

Inside she is in quite good nick, I'll take it to steam rallies where I show my stationary engines..I ought to get a vehicle before I get a caravan but never mind!!! It looks very practical!

Apologies for the naff photo

Well done, anything free is always a bargain :D All you need to do now is come up with a cunning plan for getting drive from your stationary engine to the wheels of the Portafold and you wont need the car! :D

Thanks, the lack of a vehicle is the shortfall in my plan...

Well here's some more photos after a bit of a clean up. The lid and bottom will be done once it's folded up again.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised when I unfolded it...

Now will I have it ready for the rally in a fortnight?
